Dr. Lee’s talk, entitled “Achieving Perimodiolar Position with a Lateral Wall Insertion using a Shape Memory Polymer CI Array”, attracted a large global audience of peers and industry stakeholders.

Dr. Lee received a warm response as he shared his experiences and insights during the ACIA membership meeting’s session “ACI Alliance Research, Advocacy and Awareness Initiatives: Moving the Field Forward.”

Qualia Oto is thrilled to announce selection of funding by the NIH for our recent Phase I grant proposal “Robotic-Inserted, Shape-Conforming Cochlear Implant Electrode Arrays.” We will validate that our novel shape-changing polymers can be inserted even more reliably and favorably with assistance from robotic machinery. Total funding will be more than $304,000 over the course of the coming 12 months.
